Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (VEIC), founded in 1986, is a mission-driven non-profit dedicated to reducing the economic and environmental costs of energy consumption through energy efficiency, renewable energy, and transportation efficiency initiatives. VEIC has consulted in 25 states, 6 Canadian Provinces and 7 countries outside North America to design programs that reduce energy use. VEIC operates Efficiency Vermont, the nation’s first energy efficiency utility; Efficiency Smart, providing energy efficiency services to 49 municipal electric systems and counting; and the DC SEU, administering sustainability services in the nation’s capital.
